400 Horses Casino Opens in Polson, Montana

(AsiaGameHub) –   Situated in Polson, the 35,000-square-foot facility offers approximately 300 gaming machines.

The newly opened 400 Horses Casino is now operational in Polson, Montana, having been completed ahead of schedule. The Indian Gaming Association (IGA), together with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and S&K Gaming, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Located near Highway 83 and the Polson Airport, this expansive venue spans 35,000 square feet and features about 300 gaming machines, as well as outdoor patio areas and a restaurant. Its operations support more than 200 jobs, with additional seasonal employment opportunities available each summer.

The casino’s name, “400 Horses,” pays tribute to Chief Alexander of the Pend d’Oreille people—a respected tribal leader known for his significant role in the region’s history.

David Z. Bean, chairman of IGA, remarked: “This beautiful facility reflects the strength and vision of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and their commitment to investing in the future of their people. Tribal gaming continues to create opportunity, support families, and strengthen communities across Indian Country while protecting and exercising tribal sovereignty.

In April 2025, S&K Gaming initiated construction on the casino, marking the project’s start with a ground-breaking ceremony attended by representatives from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT).
